A new building is being constructed to house the National Audit Chamber of South Sudan.
The South Sudan Audit Chamber last week signed a contract with Macdowel Limited for the construction of its headquarters.
Speaking during the signing ceremony in his office, the Auditor General Ambassador Stephen Kiliona Wondu called on the contractors to observe high quality standards and complete the project on time. He also noted that this is first of the major construction projects following the independence of South Sudan.
Construction is planned for completion in 2013. The picture is an artist’s impression of the new building design.
The project is jointly funded by the Government of the Republic of South Sudan and the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) administered by the World Bank under the Rapid Emergency Project. The site of the building works is at the Ministry Complex in Juba.
