Training for Public Accounts Committee members – 1st to 9th February 2013

Around eighty Public Accounts Committee (PAC) members from around east and south Africa regions attended a training course for new PAC members held at the Juba Grand Hotel in South Sudan between 1st and 9th February 2013.
Attendees were welcomed by the Leader of the National Assembly of South Sudan and the training course was organised by EAAPAC, AFROSAI-E, INTOSAI and the National Assembly of South Sudan.
PAC members attended from many countries belonging to organisations including the West Africa Association of Public Accounts Committee (WAAPAC), Association of Public Accounts Committees (APAC), East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) and Southern Africa Development Community Organisation of Public Accounts Committees (SADCOPAC).
The Auditor Generals of South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Ghana and South Sudan also participated.
